Youth Development Program (8-14yrs, 8 weeks, $485.00 +HST)

This program provides youth with the opportunity to learn the sport of canoe/kayak in a fun and safe environment. Kids will learn the skills required to participate in singles and crew boats in preparation for regional regattas against other clubs. All kids are invited to join this program and spend the summer having fun on the water!

Safety on the Water

The head coach as well as all the board members agree that safety is our top priority when we are running programs. PCKC has worked to ensure that all our policies around water safety coincide with Canoe Kayak Canada’s safety Guidelines. All paddlers are required to wear Coast Guard approved PFD’s while on the water. PCKC is equipped with a safety boat (motor boat) to ensure our paddlers are safe at all times.

∗ To ensure the safety of our paddlers we may ask them to perform a swim test on the first day of programming.

Our Location

PCKC is excited to run our new programs out of our newly acquired Johnson’s Park location. Johnsons Park and Little Lake provide an ideal location for youth in the community to safely learn the basics of canoeing and kayaking. Johnson’s Park is located directly adjacent to Beavermead Park which will allow our camp to utilize their great facilities.
